ELACC’s 2015 Gentrification Dialogue Series
All over the country urban communities of color are facing gentrification and rapidly losing the residents which creatively sustained these communities when private and public entities disinvested in them. Gentrification has deep systemic roots within discriminatory housing, land use, and economic development policies. We invite you to join your neighbors in Boyle Heights in this 2015 Gentrification Dialogue Series to discuss the on the ground work taking place to STOP Gentrification and create collective community solutions.
In this session we will discuss the housing crisis and work taking place to protect tenants, preserve and improve existing housing and increase the amount of housing.
